Middle Eastern dance students
to debut at fundraiser

Students in the
beginning Middle Eastern dance class taught by Trinity in the
Montclair YMCA will make their performing debut as Trinity’s
Performance Troupe in “Motion and Mistletoe,” a fundraiser for the
Fight Against World Hunger to be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, 6:30
p.m., in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, 69 Carey Ave., Butler.
Tickets are $10 at the door, a tax-deductible donation, and
refreshments will be offered, along with hours of dancing and live
music. Vocalist Petronella Fernando will also perform.
“The women in my
classes vary in age, some are even teens,” said Trinity, a Montclair
resident and mother of three. “All find a great aerobic workout in
belly dancing, as well as a spiritual connection through dance. This
is one way these women can reach out and make a difference in the
world’s issues, such as hunger.”
Along with Middle
Eastern dance, the event will also feature Santa, elves, Frosty the
Snowman, Latin dancers and Praise dancers from around the region.
Trinity, aka Pamela
Trione, also teaches sat the Fitness Center for Women in Bloomfield
and performs with area troupes.
